  • Toni Yow Toni Yow, WM Irvin Teacher Assistant of the Year
    Congratulations to Mrs. Yow on being selected as our Teacher Assistant of the Year.  Mrs. Yow has been working with students at Irvin for 9 years and before becoming a teacher assistant she was a substitute at our school and a bus driver. She has been married for 26 years and has 4 beautiful children.  Her two youngest are students at Concord High School.  Congratulations, Mrs. Yow!  We are so proud of you.

  • NCASA logo Poster Contest Open to All Students - Cash Prizes
    The North Carolina Association of School Administrators, NCASA, is sponsoring a poster contest for K- 5 students in support of its Every Child's Chance... Every Community's Future campaign, which celebrates the 175th anniversary of the opening of the first public school in N.C.  Click here to get additional information.  The contest ends on Friday, October 31, 2014.

  • Tailgate Irvin's Tailgate was a HUGE Success!
    Irvin's Tailgate event was a huge success. Over 300 families came out wearing their favorite sports team attire and learned about what students are learning!  Thanks for coming out!!  Click here for pictures.

  • Hometown Hero WM Irvin Teacher Can Win $250 for Classroom Supplies

  • Box Top Racing for Recess
    PTO has kicked off their boxtops fundraiser.  Each boxtop submitted brings our school 10 cents.  Last year PTO raised about $3500 through boxtops.  The classroom with the highest number of boxtops each month on each grade level will earn an extra recess covered by PTO. The overall winner for the month will win the coveted Golden Eagle award.
