  • Join Us For Irvin's 2nd Annual Art Show

    Come join us for Irvin's 2nd Annual Art Show. This walkthrough gallery will be on Thursday, February 11, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. This is a school wide event that includes artwork from every student in the school. Students have been working very hard to create art, and are proud to display their work in the hallways of Irvin. You don’t want to miss this!

    Students and staff are asked to contribute any loose change by feeding the large blue dinosaur in Mrs. Frazier's classroom! Let's work together to fill that belly up!! Bring your change to Mrs. Frazier’s room.

  • Snow Day Make-Up - February 15th

    Don’t forget that Monday, February 15th will be a regular day of school for CCS students. It is the designated make-up day for the snow day on January 22nd. School will operate on a regular schedule and buses will run their normal routes. Read more.

  • Kindergarten Registration

    WM Irvin welcomes you and your child to Kindergarten! Our 2016-2017 Spring Registration is from March 14th through March 18th from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. We also have a late night registration on Thursday, March 17, from 5 – 6:30 pm. For more information on registering your upcoming kindergartener, please click on the picture to the left.

  • March Musical Matinees

    You are invited to Music Class! Every 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade class has been working on a musical presentation to share with you. Click on the picture to refer to the schedule to find your child's day and time. All performances will be in the Music Room, #416.

Awards and Recognitions

  • Emily Francis Mrs. Emily Francis, W.M. Irvin's Teacher of the Year! 
    Congratulation to Mrs. Francis who has been selected as the 2015-2016 Teacher of the Year.  She makes significant contributions to the entire school, builds great relationships with students and staff, demonstrates a wide range of content knowledge over a variety of subjects, and works with our ESL population to master language skills. Her Cinco de Mayo Festival and parent celebrations are known throughout the community. She is proud to be a teacher and her positivity radiates throughout the building!  We are proud to call her an Irvin Eagle!

  • Academy Sports

    Irvin students want to thank Academy Sports for their recent donation to our P.E. department.  We will use the new equipment to play with during our PE class outside during free play.  We appreciate it!

  • Sarah Lewis Congratulations to Sarah Lewis, Kindergarten Teacher, who was selected as the CCS Hilbish Ford Teacher of the Month for December. Sarah will be recognized at the Cabarrus County School’s Board of Education meeting on Monday December 14th. We are proud of you Mrs. Lewis!

  • Chris Roseman Congratulations to Mrs. Roseman on being selected by her peers as this year’s Teacher Assistant of the Year.  Working with students is her passion, and everyday she is teaching 4 LLI groups and 1 DI group.  She is always positive about the extra work and planning that it takes, and does it with a positive attitude. She is also very artistic and anytime the school needs banners or signs she makes them. In additional to all of this, she organizes the four blood drives every year.  Congratulations Mrs. Roseman on this well-deserved honor.

  • CCEF Cabarrus County Education Foundation Awards Grants to Irvin Teachers
    Cabarrus County Education Foundation recently awarded four of Irvin's teachers grants.  Congratulations to Melissa Brantley, Kate Culbreth, Emily Francis, and Evelyn O'Connor for applying and being selected.  The project allowances range between $250 and $500, and these teachers will be receive their checks at a recognition ceremony in the Board Room of the Education Center.  All money received will be used to buy resources for our students. Congratulations to our staff and THANKS CCEF!

  • Jimmie Johnson Grant Irvin Receives Grant from the Jimmie Johnson Foundation
    The Jimmie Johnson Foundation along with Lowe’s Toolbox for Education has awarded our school a grant for $40,316 to build a track in the back of our school.  Our new track will include workout stations and will be built this spring. Thanks Jimmie Johnson Foundation!
