  • Parent Access to DreamBox

    Parents, you can now review your student's academic progress with a DreamBox Parent Account. Please follow these steps to create your free Parent Account:

    1. Go to https://play.dreambox.com/login/9ukn/carlafe
    2. Have your student login to their profile just as they would at school.
    3. Click Setup Parent Access at the bottom of the page.
    4. Follow instructions to create a new login and password.
    5. Read Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
    6. Click "Submit".

    Log into your home account after set up:

    1. Go to http://play.dreambox.com
    2. Enter your email address and password.
    3. To see student progress, click the "Parent Dashboard" button.

  • Red Ribbon Week: October 20-24

    Furr Elementary will have a substance abuse awareness week around National Red Ribbon Week.  During this week we will participate in activities to show that we are committed to being Drug-Free.  We will recognize this week with themes to dress to each day.  Please see the days of the week and themes listed. 


    Dress Up Themes:

    Monday: I'm Proud to be Drug Free.  Wear lots of red!

    Tuesday: Team Up Against Drugs.  Wear a shirt, jersey, or sweatshirt of your favorite sports team!

    Wednesday: Sock it to Drugs.  Wear your weirdest, craziest socks!

    Thursday:  I'm Too Bright for Drugs.  Wear your brightest colors!

    Friday: Put a Cap on Drugs.  Wear a hat!

  • Furr Falcon 5K...Saturday, November 15th

    Please join us for a family event featuring a 5k race and Fun Run for the little ones! Proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the Art, Music, and Physical Education departments at Furr Elementary School. Whether you run competitively, or have just started running, come on out and give it your best shot! To register, click the Registration link on the right.

  • Math 24 Competition

    The 4th and 5th graders that made it through the preliminary rounds of Math 24 had the chance to compete in the school finals. Out of the 24 students who competed, Ellis Sheridan, Emory Lyda, Jack Nelson and Jonathon Jacob made it to the 'Final Four'. These four finalists went neck and neck to see who would be the school winner. With just one point over Emory Lyda, Jonathon Jacobs was the winner.

  • CAFE Quiz Bowl Team places 4th in the Southeast Region-Thinking Caps Quiz Bowl!

    The Carl A. Furr Quiz Bowl Team came in 4th in the Southeast Region-Thinking Caps Quiz Bowl this last week! Even though the weather cut into some of our Study Lunches we managed to score 94% Correct.... We were 2nd out of North Carolina Teams (right behing Providence, Charlotte)...1st in the County.

  • Splash Program

    If you completed an application for your rising kindergarten student to participate in Splash Spanish immersion next year, confirmation letters will be mailed on April 18th. Furr Elementary students who applied were guaranteed a spot. Parents of students from outside the Furr attendance zone who are randomly selected to participate in Splash, will need to complete the confirmation portion of the letter and return it to Furr by May 1st to ensure their slot.
