Golf Squad

Golf Squad at Harris Road Middle is for both new & continuing 6-8th grade students.  This program provides opportunities for your child to learn the social skills required to enjoy the game of golf for a lifetime Chances are your student will be asked either in college or their professional careers to play golf with friends or colleagues. Our PGA Professionals will equip them with the necessary etiquette, terminology, and technical skills to be comfortable accepting those invitations. Click here for more information.

Heart and Sole is a new program being offered at Harris Road for girls in grades 6-8. This program is a follow-up to Girls on the Run, at the elementary level. The curriculum is designed with themes that girls can relate to, and helps build the life skills that they need. Running remains a core element of this new Girls on the Run program and includes more rigorous strength and conditioning circuits appropriate for this age group.  The 10 week season culminates with the Girls on the Run 5k in December. The 5k is a celebratory event that builds confidence, competence, cooperation, character and gives the girls a tangible sense of goal setting and achievement.

Mrs. Felix and I will be volunteering to run Heart and Sole and wanted to reach out to see if we could get any parent volunteers to help! You DO NOT have to be a runner! We will be meeting two afternoons a week (4-5:15) and would love for you to join us! Listen up for announcements to be distributed during open house and the first days of school. Sign ups will be online and limited! Feel free to contact me via email with any questions!
