Strive at the Hive

Download, Print & Color Stinger for your Summer Vacation!

Calling all students, teachers, and staff of Harrisburg Elementary!
We would love for Stinger, our Harrisburg Elementary mascot, to travel with you this summer!  Download a copy of Stinger, print and take Stinger with you across the world this summer.  Once you reach your destination, take a picture of you and Stinger.  Please share the experience in at least one of the following ways:
  • bring the photo to class with you the first week of school
  • have an adult family member post a photo of you & Stinger on our Harrisburg Elementary Facebook page by replying to our summer travel message
  • have an adult family member post a photo of you & Stinger on Twitter with the hashtag, #hesglobal and tag us @harrisburgelem
Together, we can take a journey of a lifetime!  Stay tuned for photos of your teachers' travels this summer!

Continue the Learning Over the Summer!

Now students can continue their learning over the summer! ALEKs and Dreambox tools to support math and iReady to support reading will be open to students all summer long! Students use our homepage and log in just like they do at school.  This is a great way to beat the "summer slide".

Thank you for all the donations to support the work of our students!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of the parents, grandparents, friends, neighbors and students that generously supported our Triple Crown fundraiser!  We are excited to announce that we not only surpassed our goal of $45,000 but with matching gifts have topped $52,000 to date. All of these gifts will go directly into the PTA budget this year to purchase needed items for our school. We are proud of all of the classes and think it is amazing what we can accomplish when we work together! Thank you so much again for all of your help - HES families rock!! Students who raised money for the school enjoyed a dance party or magic show!
